How often do I need to add salt, and what type should I use?
The Freedom RV Water Softener only needs a salt top-off about every 3 months under normal use. It runs on standard water softener salt pellets, which help prevent scale and protect your RV plumbing. Table salt is not recommended, as it can affect performance and reduce the system’s lifespan.
Will the Freedom system affect my RV’s water pressure?
No. The Freedom is engineered to maintain strong, consistent water pressure throughout your RV. Its high-quality components allow you to shower, wash dishes, and run appliances without losing flow or experiencing pressure drops at different campsites.
What makes the Freedom RV Water Softener different from other RV systems?
The Freedom is the only RV water softener with true hands-free regeneration, eliminating the manual cycling required by traditional units. It maintains itself automatically, requires salt only every 3 months, and is backed by long-term warranties: 5 years on the control head and valve, and 10 years on the brine and media tanks. The result is a low-maintenance system designed for long trips, full-time RV living, and reliable performance at every stop.
